The Quarry
The Quarry Golf Club at La Quinta, California is located on 360 acres of land.
The Tom Fazio designed course was created to provide the ideal expression of
golf for the serious golfer. It offers completely reasonable risk/reward shot
scenarios with no gimmicks, tricks or hidden unfair hazards. Each hole allows
the golfer to pitch and run to a portion of the green, or to lob the ball directly
at the flag. The layout of the fairways, the subtlety of the greens, and the
arrangement of the waterways make The Quarry a comfortable but sought after
adventure each time it is played.
The Quarry clubhouse is 20,000 square feet of quiet and understated elegance.
Panoramic views of authentic desert surroundings from the outside terrace add
to the course’s beauty. It was designed for the serious golfer.
The real estate portion of the Quarry consists of 75 estate lots and 30 Casitas
sites. The lots range in price from $600,000 to $900,000. The Casitas range
in price from $1,500,000 to $2,000,000.
Current memberships are $175,000 per person.
The Quarry is ranked in the Top 100 courses in America.

Winchester’s Responsibilities Were To:
- Help find the land
- Arrange the purchase of the property
- Obtain all entitlements
- Schedule and coordinate all aspects of the project
- Coordinate and manage the golf designer and the clubhouse architect
- Value engineer all plans & specs
- Work with the water district to design and implement a state of the art
water delivery system
- Assemble and manage all golf course, clubhouse, ancillary buildings, utilities,
roadways and housing pad disciplines and activities
- Maintain tight budget control
- Provide monthly fiscal progress reports.
- Hire all key personnel
- Procure all maintenance equipment and the golf cart fleet
- Equip the clubhouse
- Oversee and provide insight into the creation of all Club and HOA documents
including membership, CC&R’s and Design Review Board.
- Close-out project
- Start-up the Club operations
